Toilet learning can feel overwhelming for many families. Conflicting advice, pressure from schools, and well-meaning opinions can leave parents unsure where to start.
With nearly three decades of experience in infant and early childhood development, Harmony Shreve provides calm, practical guidance that helps families support toilet learning with confidence.
This approach is developmentally informed, child-centered, and respectful. The goal is not to rush children or force compliance, but to help families build routines and skills that make toilet learning a natural transition.
Many families are surprised to learn that healthy toileting awareness can begin much earlier than the traditional “potty training” window. When approached thoughtfully, children can develop awareness and confidence around toileting gradually rather than through stressful training methods.

About Harmony
Harmony Shreve has worked in early childhood education for nearly 30 years, specializing in infant and toddler development. She is the founder of Daisy Trails Forest Preschool and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Human Development.
Her approach to toilet learning is grounded in respectful caregiving, developmental science, and extensive hands-on experience supporting families through this transition.
