Our Services

Infant Care | Ages 4 Weeks – 24 Months

The earliest months of life are a time of extraordinary growth and development. Our infant program is designed to provide a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel secure, supported, and deeply known.

At Daisy Trails, we recognize that infant care is about more than supervision. Families need to feel confident that their child is safe, understood, and cared for with attentiveness and respect. Our approach honors each family’s rhythms while supporting healthy development through responsive, relationship-based care.

The environment is intentionally peaceful and screen-free, allowing infants to experience the world through movement, sensory exploration, and meaningful interaction with trusted caregivers.

Throughout the week, infants are gently introduced to enrichment experiences designed specifically for early development. These may include infant yoga, music and rhythm, balance and breath activities, tai chi-inspired movement, sound baths, and early sensory exploration.

Our health, safety, and wellness practices are integrated into daily care, and our space is carefully designed to support safe exploration and developmental growth.

To ensure individualized attention and a calm atmosphere, enrollment is limited to four infants at a time.

Infant & Newborn Transition Support

In-Home Support for Families Welcoming a New Baby

Welcoming a newborn is a profound transition. Alongside the joy of a new baby often comes exhaustion, uncertainty, and many questions.

For families with infants who are not yet ready for group care, Daisy Trails offers short-term, in-home infant transition support grounded in nearly three decades of experience in infant and early childhood care.

This service provides calm, knowledgeable guidance for both baby and parents as routines develop and confidence grows.

Who This Support Is For

This program is especially helpful for families who:

• have a newborn or young infant and would like experienced support during the early months
• are navigating sleep, feeding, or daily rhythm transitions
• are interested in elimination communication or early toileting awareness
• plan to enroll in our infant program in the future
• do not have extended family nearby for support
• value gentle, relationship-based infant care

What Support Can Include

Support is individualized and may include:

• attentive infant care during developmental transitions
• guidance establishing predictable daily rhythms
• support with sleep, feeding, and early play routines
• gentle introduction to elimination communication when appropriate
• reassurance and practical guidance for parents
• planning for a smooth transition into group infant care

Emergency hourly assistance may also be available for families enrolled in the transition support program.

Structure & Availability

Support is scheduled in advance and typically offered for 8–12 weeks. Availability is intentionally limited to 2–3 families at a time to maintain consistency and reliability.

This service is led by Harmony Shreve, who brings over 29 years of experience in infant and early childhood care, formal education in Early Childhood Education and Human Development, and ongoing professional development in infant development and outdoor education.

Care is grounded in respect for infant development, predictable routines, and responsive caregiving rather than rigid methods.

Transition support is offered as a monthly program rather than hourly care.

Typical investment:
$100–$1,500 per month depending on level of support and scheduling needs.

Participation does not guarantee future enrollment in other programs, though it often helps families transition smoothly into group care.
